Good Day from Sac Town, CA

Hey all,

This is Jon from Sacramento, CA (Actually Antelope near Roseville). I have been trying to break into the VO business for a number of years now but I keep having set backs that draw me away. I am now trying to get back on track and get this thing really started. Currently I am listed on a local talent agent site called Cast Images but so far nothing has come my way as far as VO stuff. I have had a bit of training and voiced a few parts for Dream Realmâ€™s Robotz of the Company and submitted a few auditions but thatâ€™s about it. I just keep hammering at it and eventually Iâ€™ll be heard all over the airwaves, TV and Theaters. Along with the VO stuff Iâ€™m studying to play Jazz and Blues guitar. The long term plan for me is to do VO stuff during the day and play Jazz and Blues at night and quit the day job. Well, at least thatâ€™s the plan.

This is a great site that Julie has started and I hope it continues to flourish and provide some great info to everyone interested in VO. Thanks Julie.

Nice meeting you here. I'm also listed with Cast Images. They seem to be a pretty hard working bunch there.

Hello to the other Jon with no H. Sack of Tomatoes...family all over that place, Rancho, Carmichael, Folsom, West Sac...my oldest Son was born there, used to work at KZAP centuries ago at the old 9th and J building across from Gallo Park and those wonderful "wino trees"...ahhh the memories. :)

Miss tubin down the River in the Summer....what a party that is!

Hey, Jon,
I'm with Cast Images too (I live in Roseville) but they've never gotten me a VO job. I did get one OC job from them... but I rarely do on camera. I find I get more work for myself than any of my agents get me!
