Default LSV diggin' the scene

Hello! My name is Louis, and I am a new & aspiring voice talent.
I live in Minnesota.
I have a demo cd made, and haven't sent it out yet.

I'm 37, and have been hearing for over 20 years from people that I should either be in radio, or voice-over work.
Well, I finally decided to try it.

People always tease me by calling me Barry White, I hear it every day.

I also moonlight as a karaoke deejay (KJ) on the weekends at a bowling alley.

For my day job, I am the Internet Sales Manager for a car dealership.

I will be cruising through here from time to time to try to get some ideas on how to kickstart my career. Yes, I do have a very deep voice, but I can do a couple of characters too.

Looks like a very nice site so far. I look forward to posting here.

Hi Louis - Welcome!

Looking forward to hearing those deep bass tones. I'll bet the karaoke keeps your pipes well-tuned ;-) Do you have some favorite songs or music styles?

Nice to meet you,

Thank you, Joe, much obliged!

I grew up on just about everything. All the stuff I really want to sing, I just don't have the right tone for. Like "Let Your Love Flow" by the Bellamy Brothers, "Make it With You-Bread", Ambrosia & stuff like that.

I find myself singing things that make people smile like the little crab, Sebastian from "The Little Mermaid" and "Love Boat", "Beauty School Dropout", "You Make Me Feel Brand New(Stylistics)"

I've been known to sing some of Minnesota's own Prince from time to time too.

Hee hee! Great selection of tunes Louis!

We play a game called "Hot Spot" at my improv performances and I always seem to end up singing "Love Boat"...

Prince - great spaghetti,
Joe
