Default Tips on getting started

Hi,
I'm brand new in this industry. Started off as a professional MC. Was considering VO for a long time. Recently took part in a Voice Over competition on National Television (India) and reached the final 8. That kinda sealed my decision to get started.
Here to learn ppl.. Any advice on getting started??.. Would appreciate if you guys could share some exercises. HELP
Sidney

Scott, thanks for the postings. It is a good reminder of the harsh realities that exist in this business and if you don't have the passion, patience and persistence, it may not be for some.
