Default Hello All...

I'm a full time production guy in radio working on becoming a full time VO guy hopefully one day. I try to focus mainly on radio station imaging work but dabble in the commercial side of things too. I love listening and getting feedback from pros and absorbing as much knowledge as I can....so all I can say is glad to be here!

Aug, if you're like me, (similar situation a few years ago,) you'll find the outside work to be more varied and challenging than the stuff radio salespeople bring in.

But it can be tough to break out of that "radio guy" delivery. Best of luck, and welcome aboard!

Paul...you're absolutely right! It's incredibly hard when most local radio ads are filled with copy and endless repeats of phone numbers nobody remembers and you're speeding through the copy as fast as you can because the salesperson needs it yesterday! Thanks for the kind words!

OMG! And why is this such a universal problem that EVERY single producer in radio knows and every single salesperson ignores?! Make 'em go to the Dan O'Day effective copywriting clinic.

Anyhoo... Welcome, bud!

And if they can't afford to go to a Dan O'Day seminar, they should at least be required to download, read and digest this excellemt piece put together by Shelley McIntyre a few years ago:
