Hello All-
Another one from the Bay Area, San Jose actually. I am a big fence sitter here. I've taken a few classes in the San Francisco area and have had a blast. My VO Class funds have dried up since our two daughters arrived. So I will be planning to take a class soon again, I hope! I have done a few online auditions but not a job as of yet. One day I hope to be doing VO as a supplemental income and maybe, if I work hard enough, do something with VO all the way through to retirement! :P I want to start something here and ask anyone who wants to to post it, who they would want to meet face to face in the VO world. Like your favorite VO Actor of all time or at least your time. I would love to meet and do sessions with my favorite VO and that is Frank Welker! The man can make any noise come from his vocal cords. It would be so cool to sit and watch him perform as many characters, animals or even just plain old noises. He is my favorite VO (living) of all time. Thanks for reading and thanks to Julie for getting the forum up and having even more places to chat VO. (or in my case, read about VO!) :) Jeff S. San Jose |

Hi Jeff,
Welcome! Just visited SF for the first time last month. Cloudy, but very beautiful. Fave VO? That's a tough one (there are so many...). Gotta get back with you on that. Hope to hear some of your stuff on the forums. Nice to meet you, Joe J Thomas www.JoeActor.com |

Hey Jeff,
I'm just a hop skip and jump from you in the Sacramento area. the Tech Museum in SJ is just great. Frank Welker is a great VO artist. He sure has cut a niche for himself with the animal voices he makes. He's been a great Fred as well. Good luck with your VO adventures. Jon |

Hi Jeff,
Welcome! I'm a "stone's throw away" too...as we used to say in Texas...in Sacramento area. Love to visit the bay area...and ride my bike from SF to Saucalito to Tiberon! Glad you're here. Remember... your funds for VO workshops may have dried up... but you have taken some. A musician grows as he PRACTICES... it's the time BETWEEN guitar lessons that you grow the most!

Welcome, I haven't worked as of yet in VO either, but it will come. I have been so busy working my day job 64 hours per week lately. Anyways hope to get back to the grindstone of practicing more, very soon!
