Hi. My name is Jerald D Sebek and I go by the name of Jerry. I recently joined voice-overs.com in order to obtain some insight in the market and learn from those who have been involved in voiceover for a longer period of time. My voiceover career is new in starting and recently finished honing my studio equipment layout. The main goal at this time is to put together a more polished demo and would welcome any feedback. A new entry in the critique section has been submitted under the title "Demo Critique Warmly Welcome" and comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I began my career a number of years ago as a Texas Country and Western Commercial Radio Broadcast announcer and moved to a popular rock format station not long afterwards. From there I was assigned assistant news director privileges which lead to a news director's position. The latter position allowed me to gain experience in the local television market as a commentator and on/off duties as a political moderator and a regular sunday night news political program moderator.

This is my first shot on my own and am basically finding out just where my voice talent and tone would fit in.

You'll find a number of folks who are in transition from Radio to VO work, at a variety of levels... Lots of good info and help around here.
