Hi, I'm new at this and would love some feedback on the attached demo.
(Additional demos can be found at http://voice123.com/lyndaseminara.) Any advice on newbie marketing also would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! Lynda |

Hello Lynda, and welcome!
Could you tell us a bit more about your experience, (VO, acting, etc), and about your goals for VO? The more we know about you, the easier it is to gear our feedback. Also, not to be picky (but I am)... You'll get more responses to your demo if you post it over in the "Hotseat" forum - here's a direct link: http://www.voice-overs.com/forum/hot...tique-my-demo/ There's a lot of great info and helpful folks here. Hope you enjoy the forum ;-) Joe J Thomas www.JoeActor.com |

Hi Joe -- and thanks!
I've wanted to try VO work for ages. So I recently decided I was overdue. I'd love to add it to my collection of creative endeavors. Not looking to turn it into a full-time job. My day job is writer/editor (independent). I work mostly on medical materials, supporting communications and ad firms. I've been in this business for 20+ years and love it. I also speak Spanish (lived in Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico). When in Mexico, I appeared on TV a few times, including a commercial for PonyMatic mopeds. Not sure how much or little you want to know about me... but here's more in case you're interested.... I've done community theater (small parts) and studied voice. I've been singing and playing guitar for 35 years. I created a series of games for senior citizens (www.seniorsez.com), for which I do the marketing and most of the production. I'm also attempting to publish a children's picture book. So I guess you could say that all of this amounts to a good case of Adult ADD. :) Thanks for your interest, and for suggesting I post the demo on Hotseat -- which I just did. Lynda P.S. Thanks for the info Lynda...
Seems like you've got quite a few things going for you. The singing and theatre are especially good. Great way to build believalbe characters and keep your voice in top shape. The medical stuff will be very useful for corporate and industrial work. There's also quite a niche market for bi-lingual too. Like the idea of games for seniors... very cool.
