Default Dave from San Francisco says Hello

I’ve been a lurker for a few months and it’s time to pipe up and introduce myself. I started studying VO about 6 years ago but was really half-assed about it. Four years ago I became fully-assed about it and committed fully.

I run the office at Voice One (www.voiceoneonline.com), one of the top VO schools in the nation which is owned by noted author Elaine Clark, “There’s Money Where Your Mouth Is.”

Studied with such luminaries and forum posters as Bob Bergen. J.S. Gilbert, Harlan Hogan as well as with Elaine herself. Duh ☺

I’m originally from the UK and although my British accent has virtually disappeared, I can still find it again with ease. Mostly hired to record corporate narrations and for character work. I’ve done some directing for localization of corporate VOs and dialect directing for games.

I look forward to offering my two cents on the boards

Hey Dave - Great to meet you!

You've gotten some training from the best... definitely not a half-assed guy now.

Hope to hear lots more from you - cheers,

Hi Dave,

Like you and I both, I'm sure there are many, many lurkers just waiting for the right moment...

Come on guys and gals, just hop on and give an intro!

Dave, that's an impressive line-up of talent you've studied with! Good going!

Welcome.

Welcome aboard Mr. Menashe. Hey, all you v.o. hirers looking here, Dave's a bit modest. He can do a bunch of different British dialects and speaks Hebrew fluently.

Hey Dave, welcome! I'm pretty sure I met you, though you may not remember me. I was the guy from Australia who had a lesson with Elaine in August last year.

In any case, enjoy the boards!

Matt,

I remember you well. You are really talented. And you sent us the coolest Christmas card - a bottle of Fosters as a Mic. Correct?
