Default This is why !

I took my first Radio course when i was 16, i was the only girl in a "man's world". I made it to radio in Puerto Rico, then Philadelphia and finally my dream came true, a New York FM Station called me and i even got the ACE Award for Best Female On Air Personality in NY on my 1st year! 2 years ago the station was sold and I decided to establish a business at home and see what working for myself would be like. I got my LLC and have steady clients from all over US, Canada, Brazil, India and work for remote companies on a daily basis. I make good money, however I need that extra Marketing knowledge to grow my business to the next level. My business is all about Spanish Voice Overs. Finding you niche is sometimes the best way to pursue a career... I have been praying for someone or something to guide me to the next level and this contest has come as my response! I need you Kristine! But good luck to everyone, we all deserve this! :)

I started my previous life with a shovel in a ditch because I did not know all I needed to know to be successful. I worked hard and listened and learned. A supervisor realized my potential and I became his student and he taught me the things I needed to know to be successful and the rest is history. Well, I'm back in that ditch without the teachers that helped me and I could use one.

Default Win a free 2 hour session with Kristine Oller!

The strategy I want to implement will take some professional assistance and I think Kristine is the perfect fit! I could really use the advice on some particular techniques that could help my career goals as well as my ultimate strategy. A buiness plan is exactly what a working voice artist needs to have and that is exactly why I need her assistance---my plan at the moment seems a little off-track. I need to be on!

Thanks!

Default Why do I need Kristine Oller's help?

"Do you know how to…?" is the real question to be answered.

No, I don’t. I’m at the end of one [long, corporate, boring] career, and at the beginning of an enticing career in VO. I have ideas on how to start, but don’t know where to apply myself first. Is a demo most important? Coaching? Practice? Marketing? All of the above(as many urge)? Extremely limited funds/time offer few options to start with. What should I do first? Then what? I need help creating a step-by-step strategy with to-do’s, checkpoints, the whole nine yards.
Hope to work w/ you.
Regards
Tom

Talking Building A STABLE Business

“Kristine, pick me, pick me!”
“Heyyyy, I want a turn!”
“If anyone’s gonna be picked, it will be me or I’ll…”
“Nobody helps a bully, Todd.”
“System overload”
“Help me, help me!”
“EVERYBODY QUIET!!!”

Kristine, please excuse the voices in my head, they all need help. With your assistance, I will make sure they get it. Also, my 10 year old son is now following my footsteps. He’s currently working on a new animation series, so I could really use the guidance to build this family business, built on love and the spirit for voice over.

I definitely need Kristine’s help! I am just getting started with some personal voice over coaching and general acting classes, and could really use some expert advice on the next steps in pursuing a career in voice acting.

This is a complete change in direction from my current career and education (I have an MBA and work for a software company). I am interested in creating a plan of action that will allow me to do voice work professionally, and eventually full-time. My ultimate goal is to voice video game characters.

I used to read to my son Skip for hours on end. When we were done, he'd say, "I love your voice." With all that reading, narrations seemed perfect for me. I tried to win auditions, but I guess you just can't expect to win ‘em all. I'm going to tell you something -- Skip passed away. And the last thing he said to me -- "Dad," he said - "sometime, when the job is on the line -- and the script is beating you down -- go out there with all you got and read one for the Skipper."

Frankly, a good many of my reasons are identical those already listed. I recently left my dead-end, mundane, upper-lower-middle management job in manufacturing when it became clear that the economy was going to take out my industry.

So here I am now, with all the initial capital invested, and the demos coming along, I will soon need to implement “the plan.” While I know how that works in the manufacturing field, marketing myself and setting up prioritization matrices for myself is proving be daunting.

I hope that Ms. Oller can help to get me on that path.

Default Hopelessly lost

I enjoy travel and horseback riding. I have a good sense of direction, but would never be without a road or trail map.
Having attempted for the last year to start a VO business with questionable success, I need my Kristine Oller career success map.
Trying to train, market, and outfit a studio, all at the same time, obviously isn't working.
You don't take five roads to the same destination simultaneously.
The sense of direction (talent & desire) is there, but the map (plan & execution) is not.
Share the map with me, please.
