Hmmm, after having missed the 2007 and 2008 edition, I wonder if, when and where there will be a Voice 2009? I'm seriously thinking about meeting all my friends this time, wherever it will take place (how about Bali, Hawaii or Maledives Islands?)
Does anybody have detailled news? Thomas |

very sadly, it won't be until 2010...but you could set sail on the VoiceLympics Cruise!

Well, Thomas, I hear Erik may be having one of his more informal events in L.A. this September -- right, September?

Still working on the details, but we're looking to do another mixer-y type thing partnering with the VoiceLympics Cruise. Still very preliminary, but we just might pull it off

I'd be interested to hear why it's not happening until 2010......
In lieu of the answer to that question, I'll go out on a limb here and submit that: 1) James and Penny made more than enough cash from the last show that they can afford to take a year off. 2) It will be held in LA once again. 3) Delaying it for a year will keep the conference from getting "stale" as they'll be inviting back many of the same presenters they had in 2008....because....it will be held in LA....again. Thoughts? TS |

I can chime in on this!
Having done my own "version" of a VO con a few years ago, it takes a solid year of planning and producing. Mine was a much, much smaller scale than the VOICE cons, so I know the time it takes to produce such an event. If James were to do a VOICE 2009, he'd had to start the ball rolling right after V2008. Being that producing such an event is a full time venture, James and the bunch needed some understandable time off. SO, from what I hear 2010 is the goal for the next. As for where it will be? That I've not heard. They may come back to LA. Personally, I think it would be cool somewhere mid country, maybe Chicago. Knowing James, he didn't take as much R&R time off than he should have, and has been working like a madman already on the next Voice con. BB |
