'Ember, I believe the only consolation I can offer is that I was glad that Eric, Terry, and Trish were around to keep you distracted Friday night, and the rest of the family (me included) were around to try to keep you distracted so as not to give in to the loss and despair.
I'm sorry, hon. I felt your loss, too. |

Please accept my heartfelt condolences, September. I was out of town when I lost my best freind and stepfather (same guy). Unfortunately I was out of town with one other guy for an install session and I hated being with the guy, so the grief was absolutely smothering. The trip home alone was very hard and quiet.
I'm glad you had a support system available. I wish you well during your adjustment. I'll shut up now. Well after I say it one one more time: I'm sorry.

Permit me to join the chorus of laments, September.
Your post about your grandfather raised goosebumps, and I stifled a sob. I'm sure he is proud of his sweet, talented, kind and caring grand-daughter, and he will long live in the thoughtful embrace of his family.

My most sincere condolences, M. It must have been a tough situation for you, attending something you had looked forward to for so long, and then have it somewhat spoiled by such a tragic event....
Wish I could have been there for you, love.

Thank you to everyone for your sweet support. Sorry I've been laying low, but I'm getting back into the swing :) Being able to come to places like this and pour out my heart and just be....heard. It really helps to heal. Love you all!

September,
I am so sorry to hear about your Grandfather. You portrayed him so beautifully with your words that there is no denying the world's loss is heaven's gain. Cherish those memories in your heart and it will forever keep him alive here on earth, and throughout your life. Although we are miles apart, should you need a friend to lean on, remember I am only a keystroke away. It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope we have the chance to meet again. Strength, peace and love to you, and your family. Sincerely, Connie Mustang |
