Annoying loading-delay??

Does anyone else experience a weird and very annoying 7-8 second delay when loading a page??

Or is it just me? I'm on IE6 SP2, version no. 6.0.2900.2180, to be exact.

weird - no problem here either.

Clear your cache, cookies, etc and reboot.

Gotta love windows!

a good scanning w/ SpyBot or Ad-Aware will detect and remove the more malicious tracking cookies and malware that can slow your computer....

I only experience this when I'm lurking around in here. Not in general. Still, I find it weird.
But... one of these days I will format and re-install this PC anyway, so maybe that will help

oh, i thought it was a general problem you were having.. not just when here... sorry about that..
i just found out about those spy bot, ad-aware thingies and getting much better at understanding my PC..
why just the other day i realized that "RAM Disc" was not an installation procedure...

Funny, but this situation reminds me of my customers at my previous job at PayPal Inc. I used to work there as part of the Merchant Support team for its North American customers.

Most of the contacts I handled were asking for help with regard to the integration of their sites to our payment solution. I understand most don't have a hang with basic HTML code, let

alone tech stuff like API programming. I can live dealing with customers who you have to treat as first timers. In addition, my work only gets easier if the customer admits that he or she

doesn't know a thing or two about tech stuff than having to deal with those who think highly of themselves without realizing that we are on the twentieth century. I had a customer once,

he claimed that he spent at least 25 years of his life as a computer programmer. He went on and on with his credits on that heated phone conversation. It happened when

Windows introduced their IE7. That customer were having a bad day because his new downloaded browser had a problem pulling up PayPal's site. What that particular customer didn't

understand was some sites were not too quick to make updates with the compatibility issues. He went berserk when I told him to use his old version of IE, or maybe use Firefox,

Safari(at that time Safari for Windows version wasn't introduced yet), and I ran on the list of the browsers that I use with my personal pc. Well, he hung up on me(that wasn't a new

experience for me, though, being hung up), because, according to his life story, he was an accomplished computer programmer. I miss those memoramble times as a part of the customer

service team.

Right now, I'm using the latest Firefox 3.0.1 (I downloaded this because for me using the newest version of a browser is cool, which is stupid to most ( ".)) when I do the browsing with

potential unsecure sites. I always trusted firefox when it comes to making my surfing experience as safe as possible. However, there's one intermittent issue with this new version.

Most of the time when I visit Voice-overs.com/forum, I always get the 'Page Load Error' with an exclamation mark. Work around: if you have a knack with messing around, you can solve

this by reloading the page once, or twice, or even a number of times. It sure would work. Of course, you need to review the characters you put on the address bar making sure they are

correct. My best advice, use the previous version.

Safari 3.1.2 version for PC users I think is the best browser to use when accessing voice-overs.com/forum. You get to the main page in a flash. Its cache works flawlessly, it will keep you

login forever, unless you clean it. So that only makes it even more reliable than using firefox where you have to re-login every time you use it.

IE7 and IE8 Beta. It takes forever to open it's default home page. It works pretty well when its default home page has done downloading. I am not sure with the previous versions. I worry less

about adwares or spywares stuff, though, I think the latest OS versions of Windows like Vista and Leopard for Mac will do the wonder.

Limewire 4.18.3, notorious for P2P sharing, has its own browser, and surely will make your visit at voice-overs.com/forum a worthwhile experience. Just a note: caching is not a part of

its package.
