Default Quickie reminder: my cousin on "Clash of the Choirs" tonight

Tonight at 8pm on NBC (as if they haven't had it plastered on the bottom of the screen for 2 weeks) Clash of the Choirs begins. I would normally take no notice of it, being a reality show, but my cousin Arlyn Wolters of Philadelphia will be in the choir being lead by Patti Labelle. We did a lot of sketch comedy and goofy music recordings back when we were kids, and she later went on to SUNY Fredonia and got a degree in musical theater - she can channel Janis Joplin like I've never seen...so as cheezy as the concept is, tune in this week and cheer on the Philly choir! Thanks!

So ya want inside scoop - doesn't get more inside than this - Verrrrrry interesting...What little info my cousin has volunteered to this point (she was the redhead on the far right with the tambourine) included the fact that Blake Shelton technically broke the rules by performing with the choir (guitar, but who cares really) - also, she was to have been one of the 2 soloists on He's Got The Whole World In His Hands, but the solo was given to another girl right before the taping...so understandably she was molto upset...pissed is more the word, but she got on with it. Also the network overbooked the theater/studio, so many Philly families who had been invited were not able to get in!! This is just before they went on stage. So there was a huge row from what I was told. Evidently one of the choir members is a minister, so he gathered them all together and really gave a good talkup, and reportedly the vibe was so good and so "one" that what was on TV last night was the result...even Patti Labelle said she had not heard them sing like that all week since they started rehearsing.

Again, this is from my aunt with whom I just got off the phone...She also said that they take care of room service etc. but don't feed them during the day, so my cousin ordered a mess o'room service for breakfast to keep her going thru the day and on to tonight's broadcast. She wouldn't say what song they're doing tonight but it should be a whopper hopefully.

    Tune in and vote!!

    Thanks
