Default Not a demo...but I need some input

I have my studio set up the way I think I like it...but I'd like some feedback on sound quality, EQ and the like.

Please feel free to be massively honest, I'm not looking for a pat on the back.

Ok, quick listen from a non-engineer.

The space sounds very small and confined. There is also a fair amount of breath noise (too close to the mike?)

Better ears than mine will have more to say, I'm sure...

Where exactly are you recording? I agree with Joe, it sounds like it's in a super-confined space...either that or you're way too close to the mic. Feel free to post pictures.

I am in a makeshift booth (I will be building a 5x10 booth in my basement next month) which is prett confined, and I was about 2 inches from the mic. I was trying to limit the gain to around 45db to keep the noise of cars down.

Looks like the basement studio is the answer.
