Default New Demos 'Tell me what You Think'!

Hello all vos,I just recently produced 2 scratch demos and I would like some feedback as to which spots are keepers and not.Pay closer attention to the 1st demo located at (deleted by moderator) than the second, although review them both if possible.THANK YOU!

Please take a look at this demo(s), can you let me know which ones are keepers and throw aways?I cannot upload mp3s and drag them into the box below, so I posted the mp3s to a webpage today........Yes it is a fully legit page and not some weird thingie. Here is the link below....Your opinion is appreciated more than you know! http://second-mortgage.valueprep.com/mp3.html

In your reply post on the forum or BB, reference the product name in the demo that you liked or didn't (keeper or not).

You are doing me a service, and I thank You in advance for that! Hit me up if you want me to do the same for you. I will give you an honest answer to anything.

HERE ARE THE MP3 Files: NOTE: 1st demo is most recent and (i think the best), done w/a rode nt1a (the quietist mic I've used yet) (2nd done a while ago on a less quiet samson co1u usb mic)

Honestly, you still need to work on your acting a bit more. None of what I heard was ready to compete in the market because you didn't believe what you were saying. Not bad for a beginner though.

May I ask if you are training with a coach, yet? If so, have you played these cuts to them?

    Hi Brian,

If you haven't read it yet, here's a good bit of info for those just getting into VO:
    http://www.voice-overs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1342

I'm hearing a lot of "radio voice" and focus on the sound of your own voice, rather than focus on the copy and connecting with the audience.

A demo is not the first thing you need. You should not create one before you're ready, and never make one on your own.
A good coach/mentor can help determine when you're ready. And a solid demo producer can lay down the tracks in a studio and create the finished demo.

Take your time. Get the training and experience. Then think about making a demo...

    Just my 2 cents,

Wait a second...Are you the dude, 928427, the guy that was just banned from the vo-bb for being a humorless dillweed who didn't like the honest feedback he received there from the likes of Rick Riley and...Bob Bergen!?

I will give you an honest answer to anything.
    Well, is it true?

Bobby H, you are going to call me a dillweed and throw around names, you should be banned from this site. You are a childish antagonist and you bring down 'any good sentiment' this community is trying to deliver. Furthermore, get your facts straight (go to the source there if you want and ask if your 'claim/assumption' is true). Your wrong, I asked to be removed and for the thread to also be removed. Yonie, you are like a 'cyber forum stalker'! I created a thread at another forum to get some 'detailed feedback' and you were following me around like a creepy lurker on facebook. Same goes for here, 2 posts and guess what, theres yani lurking around again and replying. You went even so far as to comment on an ask Julie thread before Julie could even get there (1st poster) and you started to mention the other forum in there as well. Both of you need to grow up 'big time' and spend more time finding work than trying to create problems for respective posters on various forums around the net.Enjoy your holidays!

Yes, you are a liar, yes you are a assumptive forum drifter hell bent on making others' life more miserable, yes you bring down the moral of any forum, need I go on?Would you more appreciate that I personally email that forums main admin, and paste your comments into that email from this forum? Just give me the word. You don't know me, I don't appreciate your attitude, your name dropping, or your false assumptions. Go be a thorn in someone else's side, cuz you won't be one in mine. Lets leave it at that, have a great xmas!

Brian... this will be your final warning. Bobby is NOT lying. In fact, you ARE banned from the other forum (go ahead... try and log in), and had you not asked for your thread to be deleted yourself, it was just a matter of time before someone did it for you.

I think it is fair to assume that you have gotten all the help with your demo you will get. This thread will now be locked down, and you will not start another topic about your demo, and you will not start another topic about any beef you have with other users. Nor will anyone else for that matter.
