Hahaha Lee that was kick ass. Scott - Your voice is very big and rich to me. But in this audition, though I know it's for a sound a like, it came across as if you're trying to sound 2 feet shorter. If that even makes sense. I bet the client would have liked it but since I've heard a lot of your stuff, it's just not doing your voice justice! Is that a watermark at the end?? I don't use those but maybe I should. Ditto on the peeps not opening up auditions. GRRRrrrRRrrrr - Got anything else??
Just a bit of pure silliness here.
I do a ton of narration for a company that produces training videos for the multi-family housing industry, and the current script deals with bed bug infestations. Normally these narrations are pretty dry and straight-forward, but they threw in a bit of fun on this one, with a bed bug character doing a bit of chatter. It was up to me to come up with some sort of voice for him, and this is a brief excerpt of one of the options I sent the client.
I feel itchy after hearing that one.

Once again I will remind you that posting auditions or even work that you haven't been given permission to use may be career suicide. A well guarded tv show just had their plot compromised because somebody did this. 2K games is warning actors with very harsh language.
I had a guy contact me about doing some work and in his e-mail it said "We hope that as a professional, you are aware that this information and audition script are a priveledged communication and should not be shared with anyone."
If the client has expressly given permission, that's one thing.
Hey J.S. - valid point, especially on anything with an NDA.
I usually wait until the spot has aired, or the game is released before saying anything.
Most of the producers I ask are ok with it (once the cat is out of the bag), but it never hurts to ask...
Haven't posted in a while. Client loved this so much it was embarassing. Stright read, straight voice. Since the client was SO pleased I thought I might post it. I must have done something right. Running in Columbus....
