    Default First gig thru VoiceTalentWarehouse.com!

It pays to be a native Lawn Guylander sometimes - the directive was sent by the agent that the client wanted a real LI voice, not a stereotype and for Duck's sake not a Brooklyn mafioso thing (which I can also do)...so I just imagined I was talking to my brother on the phone, and 25 years in Ohio and 3 in NC sorta melted away, and I got the gig! It records in, like, 20 minutes and I hadda put off meeting the wife for dinner in the process...but she understands.

Being from LI myself, I can ask you..."Jeet Jet?" This is loosely translated as..."Did You Eat Yet?" My wonderful Dad used to answer the phone, "Y'ello!"

Can't wait to hear your recording.

    Congrats on the gig, Chris!

EConnor: I first heard about "Jeet Jet" Pennsylvania many years ago. The Pittsburghers think it's theirs. I suppose there will be a showdown sooner or later to see who gets official bragging rights.

Steve Allen used to do that bit also - I was in his backup band once at a theater, and he used cue cards for the audience... "Jeet?" "No, Joo?"

Yeah Diane, I'm frum de Ilund...Selden, exit 62 off da Lawn Guyland Distressway. Amazing how it has changed....

Awesome Chris! Sounds like you are on a roll. Looks like ISDN is not dead after all.

    Keep up the great work.
