Wow, Chadd. :) That was awesome. You have that "cheesy announcer" thing down REALLY well.

I'm guessing you needed to blow off some steam?

hey all. i am so new to attempting professional voice acting. all i have ever done is amateur work on the internet and i haven't had any training =x i know it sounds bad, but i have the opportunity to start auditioning for professional stuff so i thought i would audition, at least familiarize myself somewhat to it. anyway, enough of me writing a novel. i appreciate any comments or criticism- the harsher the better so that i can improve. =) thank you so much!

    Hey Snowfender,

    Long time no hear ;-)

I like your tone and enthusiasm in the recording. Is this Kinetix like the toy company? If so, then your playful approach is good.

On to suggestions: Overall, it sounds a bit "forced friendly" to me, and I'd also skip the background music (unless they requested it specifically). I submit 99% of my auditions dry-voice (ie, no music or effects).

Hope this helps a bit, and we get to hear more from you...

    Welcome back,
    Joe

thank you! i didn't think people would remember me. ahhh i see. i thought people would want background music, so thank you for bringing that to my attention before i did it to more of them. no, it wasn't a toy company... whoops! it's actually for a media/web design company, but they said "smooth and friendly" so i tried to go for that... but i think i overshot it.

thank you so much for your feedback! i really appreciate it =)

Chadd, you are truly astounding! I'm absolutely serious when I say you need to be thinking about being the next Weird Al. You are simply amazing! LOVE the ending! Just loved it!! ("The dj bloat"! Love it!)

Snowfender: You have a delightful voice, just delightful. Since I'm utterly clueless as to your age, it's a little difficult to critique this. I DO agree that it may be a little TOO giddy-friendly sounding, and I didn't like the nursery-rhyme music in the background, but overall you sounded quite nice. Very friendly, young, conversational. Nicely done!

Alex: Nicely done, as well. Your voice is a good fit for this. I seemed to hear a few plosives popping here and there, so be careful about that. Darn, this would have been a good lead for me! Too bad I'm not on voices.com anymore! :-)
