Podcast Writer & Voice, Aviation
My largest client is a niche news service for the aviation industry, for whom I've done almost 2,000 podcast episodes over the past three years. Over the next few months, I'll be doing some travelling and, hopefully, even some vacationing. I'm looking for someone who can spell me for a day or a week at a time.
I write, voice and produce three audio podcasts each day, including an industry newscast of roughly 15 minutes, (usually 12 stories averaging about 165 words each,) an abbreviated 4-minute newscast trimmed from the first four stories of the long-form, and a 15-minute daily telephone interview with an industry newsmaker.
An outline with raw story material is provided by an editor.
Once I finish recording and trimming the read, I mix down with music beds and commercials. I'm currently using Adobe Audition, and could supply AA session files which simplify post prod, but there's no reason you couldn't use another multitrack editor and recreate the templates.
Doing this job efficiently requires backgrounds in both news writing and aviation. If that's you, contact me using a private message or e-mail through the forum. The first opportunity to sub for me could be as soon as April 20th, 2009.
Thanks, and good luck!
