Additional Note:
Also be wary of the following sites (same as Explore Talent above): 20,000 Current Auditions modeling acting Auditions & jobs, Free search Acting Auditions .net The most acting auditions acting jobs on the net! Explore Talent .Net Auditions, Modeling Jobs & Casting Calls all over the US (from the site: Explore Talent Remains Good Choice for Actors) I guess the more lines you have in the water, the more fish you'll catch. Be careful out there little fishies! Joe J Thomas Joe J. Thomas Acting Portfolio |

joe, let me get this straight. Explore Talent is a scam because they asked for payment for the service? When you walk into 7/11 do you also expect the bag of chips and slurpee to be free of charge?
What you've found is a possible scam.I am a payed member of Explore Talent and have been on and off for a few years. Since you seem unfamiliar with their services let me tell you what they do and what I do ... I am a part time actor, nothing big yet , but every night I sat down at the computer and searched auditions and castings looking for work. I logged into all my different accounts on acting sites, I searched classifies and job boards. I did this religiously every night and it took about an hour or 2, sometimes more.I almost gave up on acting, auditions, because it took time away from my family. I worked all day then searched the internet at night. I found the Exploretalent.com site and actually read about the service. It sounded like it would save me some time so I tried it. It costs me about $1 a day to get all available auditions and casting calls to come to me rather than me searching. The service that they offer is about saving time. Now, it takes me a few minutes to check out what is available. I look at my Explore Talent calender and they add every audition and call to it that their system finds to meet my criteria. After I found that these types of services existed, I tried out 2 others, both did not deliver even close to the same amount of auditions to my inbox, so now I just stick with Explore Talent. Of course they want payment for their service, its a business! It baffles me that everyone thinks if it's online, it should be free. If it's free how do the employees get paid? When you call customer service or booking, do you think you are reaching a volunteer? In the past 2 years their system has done a great job matching my profile to auditions, I go to 2 to 5 auditions monthly (ExploreTalent notifies me and then its up to ME to follow up) and have done a good number of commercials (1 national) because they sent me the casting call info. If I was not a member, I may have never even known about those auditions. ExploreTalent.com is not an agent. They do not make any money from your jobs. They are a great service that puts everything available in front of you daily so you can pursue it. 2 hours of my time is worth much more than a buck, so I am happy that these services exist. If it wasn't for Explore Talent, I would have given up because the searching is too time consuming. As for the background check report you found, read it well. It claims that the proof is because the 2 companies are in the same city, therefore they are the same. Are you kidding me? BTW, Explore Talent is not even in Hollywood, they are in another city. The problem with those types of ripoff report sites is that anyone can write anything... kinda like we are here... and people believe it. Also, so you know, the way those types of ripoff/ scam report companies work is that they allow anyone to write anything(hoping it's really bad), true or totally false, then they charge the company being written about thousands to remove the bad press. The so called consumer sites are the real scams! They destroy a companies reputation based on lies and expect payment to remove the lies. |

"jj25" - if their service truly is working for you, more power to you.
However, that being said, there are a number of people who have had problems with ExploreTalent (or any of the other names that they go by). I posted the information above so that people can come to their own conclusions. Sorry if I seem a bit skeptical, but this is your first post here. I suspect we will never hear from you again. Furthermore, I could find no other information on the internet based on your e-mail address. My suspicion is that you have posted a "one-hit-wonder" here as an attempt to get others to sign with ExploreTalent. You may even work for them - but that is only supposition. If you are genuine, I welcome you to post an introduction so we know more about you and your journey into acting. You know who we are... Who might you be? Joe J Thomas www.JoeActor.com |
