V123 Rate sheet is the best thing they've come up with.

The best thing that has come out of the new (and not improved)123 is the rates reference they put together.

It's also interesting how *vastly* different Voice123's rate guidelines are from Voices.com. Voice123 shows MUCH higher rates for some things, and I think a couple things at Voices are higher. I'm still not really sure what's more "accurate" or market-appropriate.

Of course, I tried wading through the Union's rate charts for reference, and there were so many different factors and variables my head was swimming!

The URL had a ! in it, which needed to be URL encoded. The URL in the quote should work now.

Just an FYI... the rate sheet Voice123 had in place was really off the wall, so they surveyed the savvyforum and consulted with pro voice talent (I believe Frank Frederick helped them out with it) when creating the rate sheet. There were many of us who participated, and our rates were all over the board... thus the average and median rates.

Yes, thank you Caryn for mentioning that little tidbit of information.

Voice 123's "suggested" rate sheet had Alex working many very long nights deciphering lots of data. I discussed some ideas on how to present the information in a light which would be easy to discern by "lay" talent.

Some of the "suggested" rates are very accurate as are those of Voices.com, some are - well - unique; on both sites.

Now all we as Voice Over Talent need do is convince producers, talent agents, and others who hire us for our services to comply with the suggested rates.
