Depends on the day. Some days none. Some days 20. I try to get my auditions done early. My agent submits the auditions as they get em in. So the quicker you get em in the quicker they get submitted. And when the buyer hears what they want they just hire. So I have my stuff sent in before my agent's office opens at 9:00am.

It varies for me as well.
An "average" day is probably between 5 and 10 auditions. Most are 1 character per audition, but on cartoons and video games I will submit for as many roles as I fit. Where possible, I try to get them in ASAP, even when my agent says it's not due for 2 or 3 days. Best to get it off my plate when I've got the time. Like Bob, I'm an early riser and my voice warms up pretty quickly... Joe J Thomas www.JoeActor.com |

Some days 6 or 7, some days none. Drives me nuts on the days there are none. As far as completing them, I am with those guys...ASAP...even when it isn't "due" for 2 to three days. Yesterday for example, I got one that was due on Friday. I had it done and back to my agent within 45 minutes.

What you need to verify is IF your agent sends in auditions as they get them in OR if they wait for the deadline and send everyone's auditions in at the same time in one file. Many agents do it the latter to save on the man power/time it takes to keep submitting as the actors send them in. This was a factor when I changed agents last year. I wanted to make sure my agent sent my reads in to the buyers as they got them.

I do between 5 and 10 a demos/auditions a day. I have a home studio and a newborn baby. So, I get up early, take care of my little man, get the hubby off to work and then head to my studio. I like to have all my demos/auditions done by 2 pm. That way if I am hired to do a job, I can work on it that evening after I get everyone settled.

Holy Smokes Bob, 20 in a day - that's insane. I know it's a numbers game but if I get 20 good leads in a week I'm blissful. I guess that's what having a top reputation and a lot of talent will do for ya.
Not sure I'd want 20 though - 2 or 3 quality auditions a day would be great. |
