I thought the read was done well, I probably would have read it at a very slightly faster tempo, (although they did want relaxed) but that's me. Maybe a little faster is possible while relaxed too. So take that with a grain of salt. You have such a pleasing voice too Diane. That can't be overlooked. I would hire you. :)

Hey Gang!!!
Sorry I'm late, but here's the new thread for March '08. Please post your audition mp3's and links here for others to hear and comment. Great place to get a bit of support and feeback... FYI, here's the link to the prior thread: Now Hear This! - 2008, February Cheers, Joe J Thomas Joe J. Thomas Acting Portfolio |

Here's a my version of the audition Diane did. Not nearly so pleasant to listen to as hers, but different. Critique is welcome. BTW, this is the second time this has appeared on voices. I guess they struck-out the first time around.

Wow, Roger -- I really like yours. Very business like, but in that cool, friendly way. You know, whenever they put things up for both men and women, it more often than not means they have no clue what they want. Then they throw it up there for us to play with. I read it the way I normally speak -- glad you think it's pleasant!

No wonder they haven't cast this yet -- another good one, Chuck! Relaxed, credible and personable.
I think I like this read better by a man, even though it was an easy read. Not all scripts have such a nice flow. Well, they've got lots to choose from on this one. Thanks, Chuck and Roger, for posting. It's good to hear the same script done by many voices. I think you really learn a lot through that. |

Diane,
It is good to hear the "competition" for these jobs. I'd hate to be a seeker. There's so much diversity in folk"s reads for the same material. Good job Chuck. Maybe one of us will get the gig this time around. Good luck, all. -roger |

Diane, Roger, You both have great reads on this one! I agree that it'll be tough for the seeker to pick, and that's only going on what you two did, and not the hundreds of others who probably threw their hat into the ring as well... Me, I've been on voices since Nov and I'm still waiting for that first gig to come thru, so I'll be optimistic, but not overly so, especially after hearing you two.

Hey guys and gals...
Wow! That's what I like to hear. I'd have trouble choosing. Each of you has a different quality to the read. I could picture any one of them being used. Great kick-off! I'll have to post something later on - cheers, Joe J Thomas Joe J. Thomas Acting Portfolio |
