You should do at least one thing every day that makes you uncomfortable. My comfort zone has been corporate work for some time.

Gee Lance,
Why so depressed? No, just kidding. I like high powered spots. But I think you got the day of the week wrong. Shouldn't it be on Sunday... sunday!!!

I feel your pain, Lance! I get called on to do one of those about once a year and my voice is shot for the next day or so.

On the other hand, here's a mixed version of a spot I did this morning that's completely within my comfort zone. This was a Voice123 client who contacted me directly after hearing my stuff on my page there.

Lance - I too feel your pain. My attempt at that spot was a bit more pulled back, but after hearing your read I can see, or rather hear where the energy should be placed. Great job.

Scott - Dude, you are awesome. That was such a nice and natural read. I'm saving that as a sample for myself if you don't mind.

<blush> Wow, thanks, Jon! I really appreciate that.

Now, uh, when you say you're 'saving it as a sample for yourself', I really don't mind unless you put it on your demo page as a sample OF yourself!

Scott - I meant as an example of how this type of read should be done and something that I should strive for. More of a reference and not a sample that I would use for own use. Sorry for the confusion.

For country radio station in SLC Utah. One's for a money giveaway; another is for Taylor Swift tickets (a contest they've done lots before, hence the generality-- name the song the tuba is playing).

Great stuff Chadd. I really like what you do.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have something a little more tame here. There's a local restaurant/nightclub looking to advertise on local cable and radio to increase their weekend nightclub business. I'm meeting with them on Thursday to discuss hiring me for the audio and video production. I'm a little familiar with the place so I wrote a script and put together this 60 second spot as a demo. I expect there will changes but I wanted to increase my likelihood of getting the business by having something to play for them.
