I haven't posted here in a while!
Here is one that I did today that I had a lot of fun with. I can not wait for my Focusrite Voicemaster Pro to get here, then I can REALLY start having some fun!

Thanks so much! I'm actually just using one of those m-audio fast track things, with a cheapo MXL mic. I just got a RODE NT1-A and I can't wait to pair it with the VoiceMaster Pro!

Great audition, LindZ. I'll be surprised if you don't get that one. And congratulations on upgrading your studio equipment! I truly think you'll adore the RODE NT1-A. A very worthy investment, that mic. And it's not all that expensive, really. :)

Sorry this is turning to a threadjack. Be careful with the VoiceMaster. It is a tough one to set up. Meaning, finding the right settings. Also, it is easy to overdo. I know a lot of people that love theirs, but I got tired of trying to get the sound I wanted and sold it within a month of buying it. I have heard some great audio from a VM Pro, I personally did not have the patience in setting it up.

Thank you Jodi! Yeah, I tried out the RODE at Guitar Center and loved the sound. You really can't beat the price either.
Thanks for the warning Eric. I heard that it is pretty tough to set up, but luckily I have a friend who is great with the audio stuff and is going to help out. I'm pretty patient too and a fast learner, so I'm thinking I'll have a lot of fun learning how to set it up.

Lindz, I'll second and third what people above me said. You are SO in the zone on reads like that. I can't imagine anyone sounding more real or age-appropriate for spots like that. You definitely have found your niche and you do it VERY well.

I haven't done much with the p2p sites lately. This one came in today to voices. Budget was pretty low given all they wanted, but... I quoted high; we'll see. I really used it more to practice my "production skills" (such as they are). There wasn't any direction on the sides, so I went with the subdued United-type read.

David... very, very nice! You remind me of the guy who did the VISA spots for a number of years.
That's a compliment. ![]()
