YOWSA, David! I'll second Scott's remarks. GREAT JOB!
Here's a couple late-nighters for Toyota and Target. Still rough around the edges, but I'm hearing improvement as lessons add up... Last edited by PierceVoice; 03-18-2009 at 12:34 AM. |

LindZ, David, awesome! Chadd, you have a nice mellow style, but on the Toyota spot, I couldn't help but wonder if you were cutting it after the kids were asleep upstairs! It sounds like you need to project a little more to match the excitement level. But good read!
Here's my audition for the VoodooVox lead from voices.com, mentioned in another thread. They wanted :15 and :20 spots prepared from provided bullet points, two versions of each for the demo. Production was optional, so I gave them each spot dry, and produced with a little more energy. The link below is just the :20s. Cranking out copy and producing short spots on tight deadlines...for a minute, I was flashing back to radio! ![]() |

Thanks, Paul-- yeah... I'm working on my "urgent hush" and lower key voice-- perhaps I'm over-doing it.
Nice job on the VooDoo thang. Only recommendation I'd offer is to be careful of being too smiley-- it's easy to do, but not always the best for the copy. I hear ya on the cranking-out-like-radio flash back! :) I wonder if this is the same VooDoo we used at a former station to answer calls for our robotic alternative rock. Sounds like it. They're pretty put together! |

Here's one that's a little harder sell than I typically do. It's for those club guys in Dublin who are always advertising gigs on Voices.com. I have no idea if they'e the real deal but it doesn't cost anything to do a demo.

Lee... something about that read... I just freaking love it.
Eric, you sound MADE for that kinda spot in so many ways. CHRIS! I'm so gahddang jealous of that Underground piece. DAMN, DOOD! I wanna do it like that, too! You're my hero! |

Nice job guys!
Here's one that I auditioned for months ago, and they just got back to me. They changed the project from "American" to "near British but it doesn't have to be British but it should just be focusing on speaking in an educational way". Hmm. So, I just gave them a little of everything. It's probably the biggest project that I've auditioned for ever in terms of shear size. So, I'm really keeping my fingers crossed.
