Default Bank Audition

Just threw out an audition for a regional bank. Just thought I would post it here for everyone to critique.

Here is a job I actually landed. It is a regional spot for a Wrestling thingamajig(yes, that is an actual word here in Indiana) I love doing these spots. Too bad there aren't more of them.

*Awesome*, Eric. I can certainly hear why you got the wrestling spot! Way to go!

This was an audition from Voices.com. I'm pretty sure I didn't get it, but I thought I'd share it since it was such a huge challenge. It took me a couple of tries to get through it without *crying*. I don't see a lot of auditions that challenge me in that way so this was kind of unique. (Just as a warning, this might be a touchy subject for some folks so my apologies if that's the case...)

Very nice work Jodi. I would have given you the job. Seriously. I can hear compassion in your voice and you did a very comforting read.

Jodi and I auditioned for the same gig. Here is my take. Compare and contrast.

Hey Jodi and Ron,

I'm always fascinated by how many different ways copy can be read.

This copy seems like a fine line. Don't want to go too emotional, but not too distant either.

I think Jodi's has a "close friend" or "aunt" feel to it, and Ron's has a "trusted doctor" take on the copy.

What did the posting ask for? That may determine who is chosen in the end...

Hey! It's getting lively in here - sweet!

This is what was requested:

We'd like this to sound as little like a voice over as possible, and as much like a real person approaching a difficult subject as it can.
This will be inter-cut with a young woman who was abandoned as a baby.
