VO Imaging Guy Needed

There are currently three VO gigs posted on allaccess.com. If you're interested in radio imaging work and don't check there, you should - more imaging work is showing up there lately. The site is targeted toward music-formatted radio stations, but all formats are represented, and registration and membership are free.

This current posting made me laugh. Create a login and go get 'em!

We are taking demos right now from male voices, but read below first!!

We aren't looking for the booming voice! We are looking for a True country sound, if it's a voice you do, that's fine, but it shouldn't sound like the voice of god, it should sound like the voice of billy bob!

lets see what you got! oh and please make sure you mention how much you are looking for in payment.
This is a Texas station, so don't go all Appalachian on me!

So once again, demo of your best billy bob and money requirements!

Noob question: What is radio imaging?

I'm not planing on trying out I'm just curious what it means.

Raz, "imaging" is the general term used to refer to stations promotional announcements produced to match the feel of the format. It typically involves a single voice chosen to help brand the station.

Some smaller stations have the morning host do it, but they run the risk of having station imaging run adjacent to a commercial done by the same guy, so good stations use a separate, out-of-market voice that won't be showing up on ads.

Some VO folks make a good living doing mostly imaging for TV or radio stations.
