Wow... I didn't expect such detail or, um, notoriety out of this.

Moe, thanks for the kind words. By now you should have all of the 'bits' that were sent to you earlier today.

As far as pricing and value, I appreciate VERY much what Moe said. I will say this to my v/o friends, sometimes you have to base your pricing on the project and its parameters. I found out that this is a project Moe and his wife are undertaking with their own $$$ and to top it off, Moe is a youth pastor, something near and dear to my heart. So just as I'd adjust my pricing for, say, a college student, I offered what I felt was a price that would make it worth my time while not breaking Moe's wallet.

I'm grateful for the work and wish Moe and his wife tremendous success with their "Request Santa" project!

Now.... "On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer, on Vixen......"

Kudos all - looks like a great idea... I hope it really takes off! (like reindeer?)

(and now, this thought from Scrooge:)
How about in the off season, you can request a call from Santa telling your kid when they've been naughty?
(oh, yeah, I went there ;-)

Ah, Youth!,

If you need someone who looks and sounds like Santa, then Bob Ayres is the ONLY logical choice.
Check him out at
Robert Ayres is Santa Claus in our personalized video message on DVD

Bob was also a mainstay at Leapfrog for years as the voice of Grandpa Frog and I am pleased that Bob has referred to me as one of his mentors.

Bob also sings quite well.

For those of you who didn't get this job, at this point I'd say be glad you didn't.

This guy won't pay me, won't respond to my e-mails or phone calls.

I've actually now had to hire a collection agency.

And you know what's the saddest part? He's a minister.

If he ever honors his obligation and pays me, then I'll retract these comments. But I stayed home on a Sunday morning to get all the reads to him quickly, got my wife in on it, added music, did it all and now he won't pay.

Pretty sad, eh?
