If anyone would be so kind to check out Augustine Audio | Voice Talent for Radio Station Imaging, Commercials, and Professional Audio in Central Missouri and give some feedback on the radio station imaging demos I would certainly appreciate it! Thanks

Jeff, first, don't be put off by anything you're told here. We post stuff here when we want unfiltered opinions.

The site and animation look amazing, but the load times for the demos seem excessive, and I have screaming-fast fiber-optic service here. Are you on a slow server, or are the files just really huge?

My first reaction on the demos themselves is that they provide a better showcase for the post-production work than they do for your voice. The commercials were better showcases for you than the imaging, to my ear.

Regarding the verbage, "accelerates and dominates" line struck me odd...what does "accelerates" mean in this context? The "no hype" was definitely at odds with the sounds I was hearing. Isn't "hype" exactly what the client would come to you for?

As far as your basic sound, portions had a little too much sibilance, and on a few I heard what almost sounded like a trace of a lisp, but could have been distortion on the highs. I hear a few "lazy W's" ("dubba-you" instead of "double-you.")

I think you have a solid base to work from, and could shine with some polish!

Hi Jeff,

Well, I'm not an Imaging guy, but I will comment a bit on the site.

Like Paul, I thought the load times for such short demos were excessive.
A thirty second demo should load almost instantly.

I like the look, layout and navigation on the site - has a good feel to it.

My personal preference is to not auto-play, or have sound on a site as soon as it comes up. I find it a bit intrusive.

I'd also like to see more about you on the site. Resume. Client list. Something that tells me more than just buzz words and hype. Gotta have some meat on the bones. It doesn't help that the top Blog entry is titled "An Actual Paying Gig!!!".

Hope this helps a bit - cheers,
Joe J Thomas

The site looks terrific, very slick, clean and professional, easy to navigate.

For me the demos loaded pretty quickly and I'm on your basic broadband cable connection.

I listened to the general voice demo and it sounded great.

Personally I can't complain about anything I'm hearing or seeing here. It all looks - and sounds - pretty top notch to me.
