There is some "paperwork" to be done on the part of the Producer, but keeping your union membership intact is entirely worth the effort on your part.

I Googled "turning non-union gigs into AFTRA gigs"; there are numerous resources available. Also, call your local AFTRA office and ask the question of the great, helpful, friendly people in your local.

If you choose to join a union, support it wholeheartedly. You ill be surprised at the benefits a union has to offer.

You go, Frank!!!!

People are always thinking in the now. But when you turn 65 and don't have that pension that union work would have granted you, you will be sorry you provided your services non union by being fi-core.

Plus, you don't get health benefits by taking non union fi-core work!!!

Think about the whole picture, folks! Look at the present and the future. Think like a business person. Not a talent looking for a gig today!
