Default The Way I See 123 and Alex's Rant...

After reviewing Alex's long statement I've come to the conclusion that he feels Savvy members are "the Great Unwashed." I think he fancies his "marketplace" in the future to be a high brow expensive establishment where only those that can afford much higher fees will be able to participate. I'm sure that he feels this is the way out of "every Tom, Dick and Harry" who wants to do voice overs participating on his site. Unfortunately he probably can't tell that some of his forum members actually have talent and get jobs with or without him and his site.

In that long diatribe he insulted all of us. He portrayed us as maniacal lurkers waiting to submit substandard work.

I take a huge exception to that. I am proud of my work and have found that there are people willing to pay for it.

Just my thoughts. Anyone care to offer theirs?

Colin -- Let it go. You're going to give yourself an ulcer. It's not worth it.

Colin,

Lee and I have had some differences of opinion in the past, but on this one I agree with him.

This is the Promised Land, nothing to do here but build a great community, and be the kind of person you truly are. As I have said to you before in my mind you are an elder statesman, who pays it forward. I know that I got my dander up over the way thing wend, but I’m out of there also. I’m leaving it to the Shills and Praise Teams that will inherit that place.

Senator, I and I suspect we are ready to pay it forward. Peach, Love and Prosperity for all.

Colin,

Dude, living well is the best revenge. Now granted I am one of the "great unwashed, downtrodden, trouble making vermin" so often referred to by Herr Torrenegra, but even I know that the village is burning and theres nothing left to do but go. Although it's gonna be fun watching them go down...

Gotta go with Lee and Ed.

Lee, we don't always see eye-to-eye, but you're on the money... I'm working hard on just "Dropping It".

SmartCaste - Why can't I quit you!

I know...we've got to let it go...

But I feel for COlin... just 2 minutes ago I went to submit the custom audition I did for a lead there. Oooops... shouldn't have stopped to go to the bathroom as I was exporting it as mp3... it's "Open but not receiving."

I wish there was a way to let clients know that they're "settling" for the fastest responder, rather than the best.

It's hard to just "let it go" when you deal with it on a daily basis.

I'm glad this is the Promised land! I wish I could deliver leads foryou guys like v123 used to...

But seriously, DO check out voices.com if you haven't.

I had some leads in my inbox there and didn't respond yet... at least, I suspect they'll still be there as I go to it in a couple of minutes!

I'm not thoroughly familiar with the procedures at voices dot com. I signed up for an account and now all I get is an "Order Confirmation" page. I confirmed the order, paid the money, but I can't seem to get past that page regardless of what link I select: "My Account, Profile, Leads, Jobs, or Payments." The order confirmation page pops up for each of those selections.

There's a 1-800 number on the top of one of the pages. I'll call that tomorrow.

I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem.

If I remember right Tom, a human has to process the order.

Thanks Colin and Kat.

I was wondering if that was the case. I'll call tomorrow just to make sure.

Thanks again.
