I would have thought that was definitely the case if you were here in the US of A, but since you are across the pond, I wasn't sure how familiar you might be with the great Mr. LaFontaine. How do you say "In a world where ..." in Danish? 8)

That's not possible. You're down there in Florida and I'm all the way up here in Connecticut.

Being a living legend like Don, his name is well known all over the world, I'd presume... also among us danish VOA's.
Even in the public, you sometimes hear comments like: "wonder, who that guy really is" or, "if only I had a voice like that american movie trailer-guy". He is noticed...

Funny, btw, Don's name is one of the reasons I joined "Savvy", and later this site in the first place: I did a Google-search for an article I once read and liked to find again, in which some big shot VO producers was discussing the technical aspects in VO recording. Some of the keywords I used was "Don La Fontaine" and "voice over". I never found the article (but i will give it another try some day, it IS interesting stuff), but I did stumble across "Savyy", and found myself saying: "hmmm, this place is cool!" And the rest is history.

Yes, Scott. The man called me. Private lead. Needed me to find a female voice and produce the whole thing. He is pretty much a web/print guy and didn't have too much of a clue about radio/audio. I sub-contracted Cira and after several takes and a phone patch, that is what is running in San Diego. My production throughout.

In case there's still someone on the planet who hasn't seen it, this video featuring Mr. LaFontaine is well worth investing 4 1/2 minutes of your time:
