Bob that would be a tremendous short cut for any of the 10's of 1000's of voice over people out there. You are essentially doing all the leg work.
I think it's not a matter of would we buy it...it would be a great tool...I think they might would question if there are enough people seeking voice over careers to make it worth their while. Maybe show them some of the sales records from some of the other books, like Hogan's or Alburger's. I don't know. Hope that helps. I'd be happy to put my name on a list of interested parties should such a thing come about. |

I Think it would be a great resource, Bob. One that would be helpful not only to those who want to get into VO...but those who want to expand their territory by getting more agents.
It sounds like more of a resource than a "how to" book... so I think every VO talent in the country...no matter how successful, would benefit from the information.

Bob,
I definitely think it would be a worthwhile investment for anyone getting their VO feet wet in the search for an agent. Now I'm interested to see where there's an agent close to NW Arkansas. :) ~Alan |

Hi Bob, sounds like an interesting book and I'd buy it. Intererestingly though, living far from LA and NYC, only about 10% of my work comes from my agents anymore. (As opposed to 100% when I started in VO 15 years ago.)

Bob,
It's a great idea and I really hope you get a publisher soon. VO Skeptic has a good point, many people get a good portion of their jobs on-line these days, but we all really want agents because we know that is where the big money is. Having a guide to helps us really achieve the goal of getting a good agent would be of great help!!!!!!!! |

Hey hey!
I'm finding through my research that many actors blow it with their submissions. It's oh so hard to get a second listen. I think more people would get representation if they were smarter with their marketing strategy. That's my goal with this book!! ;-) |

Bob,
I think that your idea has enormous merit. I also think it will be an undertaking of Herculean proportions. K. Callan has a set of books called "The New York Agent Book" and "The Los Angeles Agent Book". These only cover those 2 markets and she's gotten at least 7 or 8 editions out of them! I would guess that a book about just those agents targeting the Voiceover marketplace would be significantly more focused than Ms. Callan's books. I would of course purchase a copy of the 1st edition and all updates.
