The way I figure it, the more links I have going to my website, the better. From my many years in Internet Marketing, this has been drilled into my skull. But it would be MUCH better if I could actually get some mp3s online there. That's very frustrating. I wrote them again too. Hopefully they'll actually respond at some point ...

Oh - I figured out the problem, by the way (due in no part, to any of the staff over at TalentDirectory.com - who have yet to return an email).

You need to be using Internet Explorer. I use Firefox for the majority of my browsing so it didn't even occur to me that that might be a problem until this morning. Now, I'm able to upload just fine. So if any of you are still having problems, it likely has to do with the browser you're using.

Hmm... So I uploaded 4 mp3s now that I can do so with Internet Explorer ... but I can't for the life of me, actually *hear* any of the mp3s. :-/ Not even if I log out and look at my profile. And using Internet Explorer *or* Firefox. Very weird. Are any of you able to hear them if you go to my TalentDirectory.com listing?

Weird I can see them in the player and it looks like it should be playing, but no sounds. I do see all the individual mp3's in the player though. Hmm? I will refresh the browser.

That's what's happening to me too - which is why I wrote to their technical service - and of course, have heard nothing. <sigh> They seemed to upload fine. They're *there* ... but there's no sound on the player. Don't know why. And apparently, they chose to feature my profile today. Whoopie. Would have been nice if I actually had something online for people to *listen* to when that happened. Ah well.

You're doing better than me. I switched to IE to upload and still get the 'content type not valid' error msg.

Maybe there's a critic on the other end?

Ouch. Sorry that didn't help, Tommy. There's gotta be something wrong over there... I just don't understand why they're not answering emails a little quicker.

Geez. I HOPE not. I could understand their keeping mp3s off line until they listen to make sure there's no copyrighted material (ie: copyrighted to someone ELSE, I mean). But this is getting pretty ridiculous.

Incidentally, I'll look for you over there, Tommy. It never hurts to bookmark. :) Even if our audio isn't working. :)

I am able to hear all of your audio files using Firefox and IE 6. No problem listening.

Thanks, Ron. Hmm.. NOW I can hear them ... I wonder if it just takes a few days? Or if they fixed something and just didn't bother emailing anyone who mentioned it to the previously? A bit odd ...

Ah well. Glad it's working now, anyway. Thanks for testing it out, Ron!
