Default Quick (or not so) question

Hey guys!

I sent out some demos to agents the end of November. I just read a post from Bob Bergen that agents generally clean house in January. Will they listen to my demos now? Should I assume they passed? Am I SOL? How does Janie get her whites so bright? And why doesn't Brian ever take a second cup of my coffee?

(hope you guys get my sense of humor!)

D

Excuse me, Stewardess - I speak "Jive"...

Well, the last unsolicited set of demos I sent out only got one reply (a "not right now"), and that was six months later.

Agencies get a metric ton of submissions every day. I'd like to think they get a listen by someone, but that's not always the case. I called first to get a contact to send the demo to, and a couple were nice, a few said they try to listen to all of them, and a couple said that without an industry reference, the demo just goes into the circular file...

Hope I'm making sense - down for the count with a flu right now,

Hey hey!

I wish there was some kind of concrete answer here. Sometimes it takes weeks for agents to listen. Sometimes they listen right away. I could give more agent advice, butcha gotta wait for the book! >;-)

In the meantime, the popcorn is all eaten. My hips are bigger and my fingers are yellow. But it's all good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

;-)

Apologies for not knowing how to quote from two seperate sources....

Joe,
I LOVE the "Airplane" reference!! I get what you're saying (apparently I speak jive too)-- it's a "ya just never know" kinda thing, huh?

So Bob.....
What you're saying is that it's "Secret agent, man"?-- couldn't resist!
So, do me a favor will ya? Get that book published!! Now, get back on that treadmill! I'll not be responsible for the widening of any hips!! Yellow fingers.... well, that's another story.

Thanks, fellas.
