Last Friday I was asked to be the Voice in a :30 TV/Radio/Web spot for the Kentucky Blood Center. The recording session took 90 minutes and the director had the spots out by the end of the weekend.

The ad should be starting its run this week or next.

I keep wondering if they should convert it to a national spot; so many cities are having donation issues it's not funny.

I posted that link in a public post on my LiveJournal, and people have thanked for the reminder (or good-naturedly harrumphed because they're ineligible to donate blood). I don't know how well it will impact the KY blood center, but at least it's a few more pints, nationwide.

When I have a day that I can have a friend take me to get leeched (and watch my son), I'll do so... after checking my eligibility (surgery last year)... I'm A-, if I recall correctly.

Yes please post it on LJ, post it on MySpace if you have a page, on Facebook, Tribe, anywhere you can get the word out.

It's great that you're a part of that. You executed the voice over well.
