Default Familiar with Auditive.net?

Is anyone familiar iwth auditive.net? They contacted me to thank me for submitting a demo... which I dont' recall doing... but it could have been as part of an audition on an online site... Curious if they're legit... or if we'll soon find that they're like Kelli Casey's experience with a scam artist!

Hi Julie,

They had a posting on Voice123 a little while back:
British voices for web sites and phone systems (LTK91021233681X)

I also got an e-mail from them.
Since they're not asking for anything like cash or social security numbers, I went ahead and replied that I'd be interested in more details.

I'll update you here when they respond.

Seems legit so far, but it's a little hard to tell since the site is in Danish!
(mmmmmm.... Danish!)

Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen,

I sent demos and told them I require payment in advance by visa, mastercard, or paypal.

Hi Julie,

I got an e-mail this morning from Morten, letting me know that PayPal is ok. I asked for payment upon delivery of each job, and he seemed happy to oblige.

Will let you know how it goes when work comes in...

Hi Joe,
I corresponded with Morten again today, too. I told him that I normally require payment in advance from everyone (true) but especially for international clients. I let him know that his rates were substantially below my normal rates but that with volume I'd be happy to work with him on the rates... assuming he's willing to PIA. He said OK. He does seem legit...so we'll see.

If I work for him and it works out... I'll post it here.

After Kelli Casey's experience (see Sept V-ZINE) I didn't want to take any chances. But if he's a good client...we should let everyone know! With his lower rates, he'd be a great client for newbies to cut their teeth!

Default Auditive Network

Auditive Network is a pretty serious Danish company - no worries.
They contacted me about a year ago, wanting to include me on their roster. Their approach was a little different from what I'm used to, but as far as I know, I'm on the list. No jobs as of yet, though...

So don't worry - they are legit alright!
