Default Seems a bit low to me . . .

"This is one of the easiest projects you are likely to get!

I will provide you with 20 articles of between 300-600 words, and I need each read and separately saved as an 128kps mp3 file.

In total - I reckon it should only take an hour or so to record.

That's it!

I'm looking at rolling many of these out over the coming weeks and months, so please bear this is mind when you bid"

Did anyone else get this? His budget is less than 250.00 Seems that his figures are off. If I were quoting this out I would say 500 would seem like a low cost? Am I too high here or am I like majorly over pricing my work?

20 articles averaging 400 words each is going to take more than an hour to record. Figure 10 mins per to get a good read and sound right. That is like 3.33 hrs. Not to mention editing out breaths, "ums," and various mistakes.

So what do you all think? Am I the issue?

Assuming that each of his 20 articles is no longer than his specified minimum of 300 words, I estimate it would amount to more than a half hour of narration. And you know they are not all going to be on the short side. Then there's the additional pain in the neck factor of creating 20 different files.

On top of that, I am always wary of anyone whose project description includes telling me how easy the job will be. And in his case, he has vastly over-estimated that. "One of the easiest projects I am likely to get" would be to read something like "Sale ends Saturday" for $250. I wouldn't touch this job for less than $850 and about halfway through it would probably regret pricing it that low.

On the other hand, if the total word count for all 20 pieces adds up to 600 (i.e. an average of 30 words per piece), it might be worth doing for $250 but even then, creating 20 separate files makes that price barely worth it.

Thank. Yeah I figured that. The way he words it each article is between 300-600 words. Which is like saying it could be double this number lol.

If it's so easy he can do it himself. Should only take him an hour of his time, which can't possibly be worth more than $250.
