Talking I just got paid $500 bucks! Sort of...

Sort of...yes...

It's payment for a VO job I did for a dental supply company, took a week for the check to get here by snail mail.

Unfortunately, my excitement was cut short by realizing that the company issued check was not signed.

BUT!

I was able to contact them today and they are stopping payment on the unsigned, and are shipping me a new SIGNED one overnight! (thank god I realized all this before I took it to the bank!)

Which got me to wondering,

What kind of crazy pay stories (if any) do you people have?

i.e. you do a small job for someone for cheap, five bucks, and instead of giving you 5 bucks in usd, they give you 5 euros in your paypal, cha ching for a couple extra bucks.

Hey, how about the one where the guy came to this forum and posted a job for a Santa's voice and hired me and even came back to talk about what a GREAT job I did and then never paid me?????

Oh wait. That was fun or funny or crazy. It was a nightmare.

But it did really happen.

I got paid in free food for doing a spot for a restaurant I frequent. Seemed a better choice. I got paid double what I would have in cash because I took comps. It was a nice set up.
