Email (snobahr at gmail dot com) me a picture of what you'd like speaking into a microphone, and I'll make certain it conforms to the board's size restrictions :) If it's got eyeballs, I might make it blink, too...

I love doing animated gifs...
The ones towards the bottom of THIS PAGE (that's my LiveJournal userpic page) are examples of what oddness spews forth from my brain. For some reason, I've had Christopher Walken puns running rampant.

That's a pretty wide range of pricing, and I believe I know the reason. I'm assuming this project is for the embedded voice in a toy or game, rather than for just a regular video. If Fisher Price works the same way Hasbro does, you get a normal session fee for recording the audio. Then, if and when the game goes into production, you get a substantially larger payment as a buyout for the use of your voice in that product. I've done a couple of games and that's the way it worked. Most recently, I did the voice of this guy:

Now I'm just waiting with my fingers crossed that they don't cancel the project before it gets to the manufacturing floor.

Julie, We need a top level thread something like "Auditions." At least that would make us "feel at home." I have no trouble posting links instead of actual audio. Others might.

Yay! Since I can now post audio...here is what I sent into Fisher Price. Not nearly as creative as Amy, though.

I used my regular animation demo and attached some singing files from other projects to the end...

BTW Julie, thanks for this great site!

Julie- I just saw that I can delete attachments...thanks!

I've done a couple of toys before, but Fisher-Price, whoa...wasn't totally sure what they were looking for so I gave it my best with a bunch of different stuff...Dunno....but always worth a shot, ja? Non? Da? Nyet?
