What a great shot, Bigbry! Woo hoo, I remember the daze to. In the 70's I worked at the progressive rock stations that had great rapport with their audience, entertaining, taking requests, diong segues, and climbing the rankings in the quarterly ratings books (ARBITRON)....before computers and pre-programmed music!

A friend of mine and fellow Grahm Jr. College, Boston graduate runs a web site of great airchecks of jocks from the bygone era of AM rock n' roll radio. Check out Radio:Aircheck:northeastairchecks.com. He even had PAMS jingle singers produce an original jingle for his site. If you search hard and long enough, my first aircheck from the summer of 1970 (I was 17) is there under the name of Jesse James (don't ask) at 1240/WSNY in Schenectady, NY. It's good for a laugh anyway. There are airchecks of some of the greatest names in radio from the 60s and 70s, including the aforementioned Wolfman himself.

Wow! I can't believe how many people on that list I have worked with or know. I think I may even be on one or two of those montages.

Here's something else for you old-time radio nostalgia buffs. For those of you on Facebook there's a new group called ORFA (Old Radio Farts of America). Its members from this board include Michael Schoen, Ed Rodriguez, and me. Some of the other well known members include Dick Biondi, Scotty Brink, Charlie Van Dyke, Jim Bohannon, and Joe Cipriano.
You can check it out here:
