Savvy has been axed!

OK...so it was a forum that competed with this one, and I apologise in advance if this steps on anyone's toes.
V123 has axed savvy and replaced it with "v123 forums."
All of the information, resources and reference material is gone.
The whole setup looks like a propaganda vehicle for V123.
When I and another VO complained, the thread was deleted.
I'm pretty p***ed off about this.

yes, it's a bit of a shock! I wish they had warned us so we could have saved the info.
But I guess it's sort of fair enough as there were many bad things said about v123, and we couldn't really expect them to keep hosting it forever...But it's funny it happens when we were starting to say nice things about them!
I don't think I'll be posting on their new forum, the v123 propaganda is very intimidating. They clearly say that we can be bared from v123 if we say something they don't like.
I guess it means we'll hang out here more, which is not a bad thing, things are nice here!

I just wish they would have told us it was coming. There are some threads there that I really loved and read over and over again. I just asked if there was any way to access them one last time so we'll see

That's my biggest complaint. I would have loved to archive some of the threads to keep.

It's their forum and they can do what they want but anyone with any sense of community building has to have a little compassion before wiping one out.

You're right - the propaganda is pretty intimidating.

They don't seem to be interested in their paying customer's wishes (lol - how often have we heard that?)

I was pretty shocked at first. Everything.... EVERYTHING! was gone, including all PM's.

I HAD IMPORTANT INFO IN THOSE PM'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never got the chance to back up anything.

But I can't really say I'm surprised. It's V123, right?

But the worst thing.... what REEEEEEEAAAAAALLLY pisses me off... is that, even if I wanted to, I can't participate on the new forum. It's Premium Members only! And I'm not! Never have, never will be.

I'm so pissed off. Yeah sure, it's their stinking forum. But this..... it's SO unacceptable.
I really loved Savvy. I know of all the other discussion boards, and I'm with all of them, but to me, Savvy was the place I felt most like "home"....

Can you read the posts?
I think they made it premium members only because they can cancel our membership if they don't like what we post (it's in the terms of the forum).
This way, they've got us!
It will never be savvy again.

By cancelling the membership, do you mean just membership of the forum, or V123 in general?

Anyways, many of the most active posters on Savvy WASN'T premium members. So no, it will most definitely never be Savvy again.

Oh, and by the way: this topics headline should be changed. Savvy has not been axed. It has been Alex'ed.

I mean, they'll cancel our v123 membership (not just the forum), or at least that's how I understand it. It doesn't say if they'll give a pro-rata refund...
