Every once in a while, maybe we can do a blast from the past. You know, like old folks do when they're sitting around talking about the good old days.

I never knew about this one -- it was before my time at Savvy. They once ran a contest to give away a free membership to the person who posted most! Wow, how nice was that!?

I've just been reading through the latter pages of this thread. It takes a tough man to... well cry. I fear the the locals might be agitated by this thread's long winded and emotional venerableness. But... at great risk, I post this link. (Thank you Robert!)

I wasn't around Savvy in those days, but that spirit lasted well into my entry in August of '07. And inspired me to put together my own little parody-piece -- which Joe was so kind to link to -- for Robert's birthday this past March.

But stop thinking of yourself as an outsider here, Colin.

Change is always hard, especially when you like the ways things are, but change is inevitable.

So shed a tear, and raise a glass --- we're here with many NEW friends. Great people too.

Life is full of surprises. Be open to them.
