Default Thanks Jodi

Hey guys,

You all know Jodi Krangle...well, I wanted to thank her publicly for her voice. She did a short spot for me, and she did a great job, and the client loved her...If you haven't heard her sing...she's really, really good, and she added the harmonies for the spot as well. I'm gonna go out, and buy some windows right now...

If you ever need a female vocal for those jingles you run into...I highly recommend you give her a shot...

Again, Thanks Jodi...Great work!!!
Jason

Having worked with Jodi on a couple of projects, I would have to agree and say that she has one killer voice there....I'm mainly talking Voiceover here, since I'm not that familiar with her vocal/singing stuff...
One of the most interesting and sensual female VO I've heard in a while....and she's only begun to scratch
the surface..

I had the pleasure of putting some of Jodi's new demos together and discovered how incredibly versatile and talented she really is. Hired her as the female image voice for our smooth jazz station as well. She's a SUPERSTAR!

And I had SO much fun doing that radio imaging, Dave. It's a blast. :) I hope to do more in the future! (And the radio imaging demo you helped me put together will hopefully help that happen!) I'd love to do some actual singing/jingle work too. Who knows what the future will bring ... It's a wonderful journey. And thank you VERY much for all your help and encouragement too!

ok Jodi,
I hope you're not still wondering if you are ready for an agent!

Thanks for the encouragement, Claire.

I did contact the people over at VoiceHunter.com - to see if they'd consider taking me on for the radio imaging (I'm *really* happy with the demo Dave put together for me... ) ... but that's also $500 a year *plus* they take commission (isn't that double dipping?? They say they do a lot of promotion and that's what the fee is for, but isn't that an agent's job in the first place??).

Actually *finding* an agent is the hard part for me... especially considering that anyone I would want to work with (or that decided to work with me) would likely be long distance ...

And they *all* seem to ask how much experience you have. What do I say - 1 year? That looks pretty pathetic ... <laugh>

I've been singing in studios since I was 18 ... so I definitely know my way around a studio - but I'm not sure that counts.

So I'm still hesitant - but it has less to do with my abilities and more to do with how my resume actually *looks*.

Which reminds me that I actually *should* put together a resume... An interesting prospect, that ...

If anyone has any ideas on that front, I'd love to hear them! What specifically should be *on* a resume - and what doesn't need to be? I've certainly done resumes for my Internet Marketing services (when I was actually looking to be hired as an employee and wasn't just working for myself) but a voice over resume is a different thing ...

In fact... while anyone's welcome to answer that question here, I think I'm going to actually start a new thread for it ... Maybe it'll help someone else too ...
