Want to put your brand in front of more people?
Maybe you already have your sweet demo from Colin loaded to your site, Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace, and Friendster pages... but you want to go one step further. The net's moving more toward video everyday. Even in the last 6 mos there's been amazing growth. Here's one I put together in little time just by slapping some simple-but-cool video to my commercial demo: YouTube - Chadd Pierce - Commercial Voice Demo It's easy to sign up with & place your own channel (Page) on YouTube. Reach out if I can help. Best, Chadd |

4 lines of type with each line being a different font probably wouldn't look as professional as using 2 fonts - one for your name and a complimentary font for the other three lines. It also might be a good idea to have the visuals change a little, rotate, change color, etc. MOst people tuning into a YouTube or other a/v type of persentation have very short attention spans. perhaps some sort of storytelling via the visuals, or at least a payoff at the end for having listened.
On the other hand, Joe's demo is based upon v.o. he did for visial based projects and includes the corresponding visuals. You can't compare the two. Last edited by jsgilbert; 04-17-2009 at 03:58 PM. Reason: typo |

I'm sure the same could be done for any spot with a bit of extra video editing. Video was added for the Narnawok, Where Were We, and Congress spots. ... and the last one (Spoons) just plays over the end text. Static pictures and a novice use of panning. Visuals is the future of everything. (Video killed the radio star after all.)
I remember when you first posted this, Joe. You've really done some nice modification to it, and I especially like the unity you gave it with the opening question. Nice!!! Ironically, even Susan Boyle benefitted from visuals. Her hook was that she didn't look like her voice, expectations were low, and she baited and switched her way to her 15 minutes of fame (okay, in her case, I'll give her a half an hour). If we hadn't seen her, and just heard her voice, we'd only be moderately impressed -- ah yes, another pretty voice. After all, who remembers pretty Ruthie Henshall now? The thing is getting there is only half the battle -- staying there is the harder part.
