Post Want Luxury? Add Art!

Hey Chadd and everybody,

Just read an interesting article about a new study:
Simple trick for ad success: add art

In brief, they found that if you add "Art" (ie a painting) to packaging it increases the consumer's perception of "Luxury". It didn't seem to matter what the art was (in one case it was a burning house).

So, what's everyone think of this?

I'm off to add a Matisse to my site,

YO! Been lazing off in a vacational slumber, so I'm just reading this article. Great post, JA! It's no secret that subtlties can be a powerful tool in creating a brand's image. The writer explains that adding some class to your presentation is going to naturally add some to your viewers' perception of YOU.

Art is aligned with creativity, craftsmanship, imagination, professionalism, mastery of method, and knowledge. Or so says my thesaurus.

Other good reads about appearance are Colors That Bring Out Your Brand, and 6 Ways To Convey Quality.

Since we're talking pushing the product, I'd like to take a moment to "hat's off" BigBry for his blogging efforts, meeting the challenge of relevant content and spreading the word. Another very amazing way to get others talking... and WRITING/LINKING to you, and a club we should all learn more about. More about those techniques soon... unless BB would like to show off his expertise for us by some explanatory posting!

On to my nude modeling for the blind charity art program!

Good points. I need to hone in on a target branding for myself and my site sometime here.

Enjoy your modeling!
