Default How do you put Links in Posts?

Grant,
How do you put the links in the posts (you said that increases traffic to your site...and I notice Stephanie does it too in vox talk blogs)

Do the links simply link to your web site?

Julie,

I'm not Grant, but I'll take a stab at the answer.

A straight link goes in like it looks: www.voice-overs.com/forum

A link with different text uses the URL tags at the top of the page. It ends up looking something like this:

{url=http://some-site.somewhere.com}Some site, somewhere{/url}

Of course I used the wrong closing symbol (I used braces), so it would show for instructional purposes. When done correctly, it should look like this:

Some site, somewhere

So, to dress up URLs in posts you can do something like this:

Julie's Spectacular Chocolate Powered Voice-Over Web Site

Hope this helps.

Julie, I'm not Tom :P , but he nailed it! Thanks Tom!

In the "Post a reply" window, you see the buttons that allow formatting. As Tom said, they use brackets like this [ ] That part is automatic when you click the buttons.

So when you go to insert a URL, type the words first, then select them and click the URL button. You'll get brackets surrounding your words. Then go add an "=" Equals sign inside the first bracket like: URL= and type/paste in the actual URL. (look at Tom's example).

Hope I gave more detail and didn't cornfuse the issue!!

With the correct symbols, it will end up looking like this:
[url=http://some-site.somewhere.com]Some site, somewhere[/URL]
