Game Gig Gotten!

Hey all,

I had a great recording session for a video game yesterday.
Naturally, I can't tell you much (NDA's), but it was an awesome session!

Professional, productive, and best of all Fun!
Great team of guys - hope I'll get to work with them again.

Oh, and I got to chat with Gary Owens between takes...
(nice guy, great Kava coffee)

Seriously though, that's really cool...I'm glad we're buds. If I ever get out there, and at some point I will, I'd love to do some Kava.

I've just finished all my lines for my character on the animated series I told you about. It was really fun and cool to do. The animation looks great and the fact they made the character look like me is really cool. The director called me monday and wants me to film a segment in my studio for the DVD special features section...me at my board talking about what I do and how VO for animation is produced etc.

I'll have more details when I can release them..
I'm happy for your success though...keep it up man..I want a seat next to you at the oscars

Thanks for asking - Interesting story behind that one...

I was taking a VO class, and a classmate told me about an audition for "Bruce Banner" in MUA. I checked out the link and found out that it was a VO contest to land a role. They'd gotten so many submissions that they opened up another role: "Namor".

So, I read the lines and pressed send on the site's record tool, then forgot about it.

Weeks later I got a call letting me know I'd been cast as Namor (The Sub Mariner)! Best part was it was a SAG gig, so I got a Taft-Hartley out of it too. The producers said they listened to thousands of auditions, so heck, I earned it!

Also got a poster, Xbox-360 (sold it for a Wii), and a Stan Lee signed game card. Plus met with a bunch of folks at Activision.

All in all, a very sweet deal! :afro:

Dude, I think I'm becoming a big fan of yours. I just noticed on your MySpace page you mention you will soon be heard in the Anime Bleach. Say it is so, Joe. This is just simply awesome. I watch the show pretty much every day its on. To be in an Anime with Johnny Bosch, Crispin Freeman, Kyle Hebert would be the coolest thing on the planet. Big time congrats on that one.

Good to have a fan - I meant to post a note about "Bleach" here, just been a bit pressed for time...

So, here it is:

Woo-hoo!!! Got to do some ADR VO for "Bleach" (anime on Cartoon Network).
I voiced two characters in episodes 81-84 which air this summer!

The team was fantastic to work with, and I'm hoping for additional ADR work with them in the future.
