Okay, still having trouble getting the file to upload, SO, I'll do this.
Here's a link to what I recorded. Give it a listen, then mock me at will.
Comments are appreciated.
Thanks for your time and your consideration.

Scott,
I like the tone and timbre of your voice, not quite sure about the music choice it didn't really fit your read (imho). When you first started out, it felt a little staccato to me, but as you got into it the flow was much better. All and all I would say it was a good read.

I'd agree with Chuck's assessment. Definitely more flowing near the end, and less announcer. You might go even softer on the tone, as if you're speaking to someone much closer in distance. Just my opinion.
Nit-Picky: attentatively isn't a word in the dictionary... "attentively" is tho. Dunno if that was a typo or how it's written, but I found it distracting. The less distractions, the better.

Thanks Chuck.. I appreciate the comment.
For the record, the music I put behind the read is from the soundtrack to the film "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (http://www.amazon.com/Assassination-Jesse-James-Coward-Robert/dp/B0010DR4BO/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1205955527&sr=8-1)." I watched the film a couple of weeks ago on BLU-RAY and became infatuated with the soundtrack by Nick Cave. I then bought the soundtrack and downloaded the first chapter of the book so I could practice. On the longer version, which I couldn't post due to length, I faded the music out at what I thought an appropriate moment. Your comments are appreciated, and I'll take everything into consideration as I work on the read for this, and other, books.
